The Potosí Lagoon

Leaving Zihuatanejo, taking Highway 200 going to Acapulco, just 20 kilometers away you can reach deviation; a dirt road about 15 km leads to this hidden paradise: the Laguna El Potosi, a name that has given most of its local people.

From this beach you can see how the beach is long, there are 15 miles of beach, which is divided into two: Playa Blanca Beach and Long Beach.
When the barra (pond) is full, you can rent a boat and paddle to completely cross it. We encourage you to do it!

You can also go horseback riding at most of the beach. If you wait a little longer, you will see a beautiful sunset.

La Ropa beach

One of the most beautiful beaches for swimming and water sports is La Ropa Beach, the waves are gentle, perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. It has more than one mile in length.

The Marlin Restaurant is at the end of La Ropa Beach, if you go by car there is a public parking, and if traveling by taxi ask them to take you to Restaurant El Marlin.

Handcrafts Market

You can find them at Playa Linda, Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo Center and Playa la Ropa.
In these markets you can buy mainly products made by local craftsmen and artisans from other states in Mexico.

Zihuatanejo Downtown

A charming little fishing village with cobbled streets, downtown Zihuatanejo has a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops that definitely enjoy a pleasant walk.

Also a Craft Market where you will see the Nahuatl tradition embodied in its various crafts

During the day you can enjoy the nice walk and at nightfall have several options to have a drink and to better plan your trip, we leave you the following links
